Welcome to Issue #48 of SIN.

Things are starting to heat up on the sake scene. Hiyaoroshi sake is now well and truly here with Hiyaoroshi Day ringing in the season on September 9 and lots of amazing releases hitting the refrigerators and shelves. 

It’s a timely reminder that there has never been a better time to support your favorite breweries. The state of emergency for major areas of Japan has been extended once again, meaning bars and restaurants remain unable to serve alcohol, drastically reducing the flow of inventory from breweries to consumers. It comes at a difficult time too for many looking to clear their stock to make way for new sake with the next brewing season right around the corner (one of our stories reports on one brewery's method for tackling the issue).
